RTX’s Raytheon qualifies IQE North Carolina for defence components made in the USA

IQE plc (AIM:  IQE, "IQE" or the "Group"), the leading supplier of compound semiconductor wafer products and advanced material solutions to the global semiconductor industry, is pleased to announce Raytheon has qualified IQE’s North Carolina site for the manufacture of epitaxial wafers for use in advanced infrared sensing and imaging.

IQE will continue to be a trusted technology partner, providing Raytheon with a secure supply of high-performance infrared photodetector epiwafers made in the USA to bolster national security and domestic supply chains. Building upon a 15-year partnership, both parties will continue to collaborate closely on the research and development of infrared sensors, further developing capabilities for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.
