IQE’s Andrew Griffiths wins Young Engineer of the Year title at the ESTnet Awards

Cardiff, UK. 04 March 2016: IQE plc (AIM: IQE; “IQE”, “the Group”), the leading global supplier of advanced semiconductor wafer products and services to the semiconductor industry, is pleased to announce that Andrew Griffiths, Process Engineer at IQE’s Photonics Business Unit based in Cardiff, has won the title of Young Engineer of the Year at the ESTnet Awards 2016.

The independent judging panel awarded Andrew the title for his achievements at IQE, where tackled a number of key projects with drive and enthusiasm. Andrew has played an active role and made significant contributions to a number of process improvement activities within IQE’s photonics business unit that have helped further advance the teams engineering and operational capabilities.

The award was announced at a gala ceremony held on the 2nd of March at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. (
