Our markets?
Mobile technologies are ubiquitous. There are estimated to be over 3 billion users world-wide and long term growth in unit sales expected to continue at
around 10%pa but with handsets becoming more sophisticated.
Future handset sales are predominantly higher end, feature-rich upgrades driven by a number of factors
- 3G penetration only 10% but increasing rapidly
- Future integration of high performance components to include WiFi, GPS Satellite Positioning and navigation.
- Each 3G handset contains several times more GaAs chips than previous generations (new features plus backward compatibility)
